Cookies and browser storage
The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. If we ever add tools that set such cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
Two small notes are kept in your own browser and are not sent to us: a draft of the startup enquiry form while the tab is open, and a reminder that you have requested access to the climate funding dashboard. When the embedded dashboard is shown, Microsoft Power BI may set its own cookies under Microsoft's privacy statement.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only:
- with the service providers that host the site, store form submissions and send our emails, who act on our instructions and must keep it secure;
- with Microsoft, when you choose to book a call through our Outlook booking page or view the embedded Power BI dashboard;
- with regulators, courts or authorities, where the law requires it;
- with a buyer or successor, if our business is reorganised, merged or sold, under the same protections as this policy.
Some providers process data outside India, the EEA or the UK. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses; where India's DPDP Act applies, we transfer data only to countries the government has not restricted.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
- Form submissions and requests
- Kept until you ask us to delete them.
- Newsletter
- Kept until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we stop writing to you.
- Technical logs
- As long as our hosting provider needs them for security and fault-finding, usually no more than 30 days.
Data you send travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access is limited to TCG staff who need it. No online service is completely secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a purpose. You can withdraw any consent at any time; this does not affect what we did before.
In India you may also nominate someone to act for you and, if a complaint is not resolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India. In the EEA and UK you may also restrict or object to processing, receive your data in a portable format, and complain to your data protection authority. US residents of states with privacy laws, such as California, have similar rights; we do not sell or share personal data for advertising.
To make a request, write to info@theclimateguys.com with the subject "Privacy request", or "Delete my data" to have everything removed. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within 30 days. To stop the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any issue.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy when our forms, services or providers change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will say so on the site and, where we have your email address, tell you directly.
